Police: Second teen charged in deaths of 4 in southern WVa

ELKVIEW, W.Va. (AP) Police have charged a second juvenile in the deaths of four people whose bodies were found this week at a home in southern West Virginia.
A 17-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday and charged with four counts of murder, Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford told news outlets. A 16-year-old boy is also charged in the deaths.
Rutherford said the teens know one another, but he declined to comment further citing the ages of the suspects.
A family member discovered three bodies Sunday after going to the home in Elkview, Rutherford said. Deputies who responded to the scene found a fourth victim in the home.

A 17-year-old girl has been charged after four members of the same family were found murdered at their home in West Virginia.
The victims have since been identified by the Kanawha County Sheriff s Office as 37-year-old Daniel Dale Long, 39-year-old Risa Mae Saunders, 12-year-old Gage Ripley and three-year-old Jameson Long.
At the weekend, the sheriff s office reported that a 16-year-old boy had been charged with four counts of murder in connection with the killings.
On Wednesday, the sheriff s office said a second teenager the 17-year-old girl is also being charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the case.

A young man has been charged with murdering two adults and two children in West Virginia.
Police in Elkview discovered the bodies of a man, his wife, and their three and 12-year-old sons in their home on Cemetery Hill Drive in Elkview on Sunday morning after receiving a 911 call from a relative who had not heard from the family in days.
The grandfather, who drove to the home around 10:40 AM, found the door unlocked but entered and found three bodies. Police later found a fourth victim under a bed.
The Kanawha County Sheriffâs Office said a fifth resident of the house, a 16-year-old male family member, was found safely elsewhere. He has been charged with four counts of murder in connection to the incident.
