RWMC, RCB lauded for removing 13,845 tons entrails of sacrificial animals

Rawalpindi : The residents of Rawalpindi city and Cantonment areas have appreciated the performance of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) as both the departments successfully completed the Eidul Azha cleanliness operations and removed nearly 13,845 tons entrails of sacrificial animals during three days.
This year, excellent arrangements were witnessed in Rawalpindi city and cantonment areas to remove entrails of sacrificial animals and the efforts of the departments concerned have been hailed largely by the citizens.
According to details, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) and Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) did a good job on the eve of Eidul Azha as the operations in their respective areas were completed on Friday evening.

RCB food branch checks 2,949 outlets

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) food branch checked 2,949 food outlets and issued 2210 notices for unhygienic and poor cleanliness conditions during last nine months of the current financial year and imposed fines amounting around Rs2.38 million.
An official of RCB food branch said they collected 938 food samples which were sent to lab for quality testing.
The cases of substandard food items were also sent to the court of the cantonment magistrate which imposed fines on the rules violators, he told APP.
Food Inspectors on the directive of the Cantonment Executive Officer conducted surprise visits of different markets including Saddar, Peshawar Road Tench Bhatta, Bakra Mandi and other areas and inspected cleanliness condition with quality of food items at food outlets.
RCB inaugurates ‘Quran Garden’

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) on Tuesday inaugurated ‘Quran Garden’ here at Raja Akram Road, established under ‘Plant for Pakistan’ campaign.
President Cantonment Board Brigadier Ijaz Qamar Kiani and Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Muhammad Umar Farooq Ali Malik were chief guests on the occasion. Saplings of the plants which are mentioned in the Holy Quran were particularly planted in the garden.
Brigadier Ijaz Qamar Kiani addressing the participants said that ‘Plant for Pakistan’ is not only a campaign rather it has become a passion that was increasing day by day in all the seasons. He appreciated the arrangements made by both the Boards, Rawalpindi and Chaklala, to provide free saplings to citizens. RCB removes encroachments

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) confiscated over 166 truckloads of goods under its grand operation aiming to make the RCB areas free of encroachments during 2020.
According to RCB spokesman, the grand the anti-encroachment operation, on the special instructions of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) was launched in which the anti-encroachment squad conducted 145 operations in different areas including Masrial Road, Chungi No 22, Saddar, Tench Bhatta, Chor, Peoples Colony, and Dhoke Syedan, Bakara Mandi, Masrial and several other areas in their jurisdiction and confiscated over 166 truckloads of goods.
The operation was being conducted on a daily basis while permanent and temporary encroachments are being removed with an aim to provide relief to citizens while visiting the markets, he added.
