North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) is thanking all its volunteers for Volunteers Week 2021. Running from June 1-7, this year s week of praise follows the theme of a time to say thanks , and with those who give their time for free playing such a vital role during the pandemic, it s no surprise that NCIC wants to sing their praises from the rooftops. Many volunteers joined the Trust for the first time when Covid hit, helping in a range of roles, including delivering patients’ personal items to the wards while visiting is suspended. Some of these have now had to step down for personal reasons, while others have stayed on a more permanent basis – and the Trust is thankful for each and every individual who has given their time to help others.
