In the eyes of India, however, it has become a lever in its tool kit to compete with China.  The Times of India (TOI) whined on Monday in an article entitled, China starts smear campaign against India s vaccine diplomacy. Under the name of clarifying the so-called smears, the TOI was attempting to prove the Indian vaccine outweighs that of China with a series of other pieces actually defaming Chinese vaccines.

The dosages will reach the two countries by Thursday morning. Consignment already received by Bhutan and Maldives On January 20, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had announced that India s vaccines have already reached Bhutan and Maldives. Bhutan received 150,000 doses and Maldives recieved 100,000 doses.

Phnom Penh [Cambodia], January 19 (ANI): The Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday requested the Indian government to provide the COVID-19 vaccine during his meeting with the new Indian ambassador to Cambodia Devyani Uttamkhobragade, reported The Phnom Penh Post. India produced its own vaccine Covishield and Covaxin that were administered at various medical centres all across India on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the pan-India rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination drive on Saturday via video conferencing. The Indian COVID-19 vaccine drive is billed as the world s largest vaccination programme, covering the entire length and breadth of the country, the drive aims to first inoculate 300 million Indians this year.
