CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Sunday said that the Trinamool Congress has to be defeated first to stop the communal bandwagon of the RSS-BJP, and claimed that the TMC might rejoin the NDA to form the government in West Bengal in case of a hung assembly. Former Member of Parliament and CPI leader D.Pandian (88) died here on Friday owing to prolonged illness. Suffering from chronic kidney problems, Pandian was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital on Wednesday as his health condition turned worse. Pandian s condition turned critical on Thursday night and was put on a ventilator but he passed away on Friday morning, a hospital official said. A trade unionist Pandian headed the party s state unit thrice and was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989 and 1991 elections.

NIA files chargesheet against 4 Tritiya Prastuti Committee members ANI | Updated: Feb 25, 2021 21:15 IST Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], February 25 (ANI): The National Investigative Agency (NIA) filed a second supplementary charge sheet before the special court here on Thursday against four members of Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) including its Zonal Commander, for pertaining to the recovery of cash and arms and ammunitions. In a statement, the NIA, said that the charge-sheet against the group members of TPC, a Jharkhand-based terrorist group, namely, Vikas Ganjhu, Avinash, Dashrath Ganjhu, Varun Ji, pertaining to the recovery of Rs 5 lakhs cash along with arms and ammunitions from Shyam Bhokta, a TPC operative.
