In the past, money raised has been donated to Love Hard Kamloops and the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society. This year, the goal is to donate $3,000 to Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. With a growing list of Kamloops businesses donating money and prizes to the cause, organizer Dallas Commodore feels confident participants will hit the financial goal. 
“Man, this is a crazy year,” Commodore said. “I’m overwhelmed, but so happy with how it’s taking off. We originally started with six teams, but now we are able to have eight teams due to the very generous donation of lights from Warner Rentals.
