(KFVS) - Texas 4000 donated $10,000 to Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital’s cold cap therapy program. Cold cap therapy is a scalp-cooling technique that lessens hair loss during chemotherapy. It uses a helmet-like cap, which circulates cold liquid to cool the scalp. It’s worn before, during and after each chemotherapy session. Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital was first in the Paducah region to offer the therapy. It’s free for oncology patients.
