Kentucky has announced two more regional vaccination centers and a new website and hotline for people seeking answers regarding the eligibility and locations for COVID-19 vaccines.
www.vaccine.ky.gov is active and will allow people to learn whether or not they’re eligible for a vaccine, as well as locations they can receive the vaccine.
Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack warned that scheduling through the new vaccine portal will be busy at first and that not everyone who requests a vaccine appointment will be immediately accepted.

Jan. 28 The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington will serve as one of the state s regional vaccine sites beginning Tuesday, and officials explained how the operation will work.
The Kentucky Horse Park site will be administered by Kroger at the Alltech Arena. Appointments opened Thursday and can be scheduled at Kroger.com/COVIDVaccines after 5 p.m. or by calling 1-866-211-5320. The appointments are for Kentuckians in phase 1B, particularly those 70 and over.
Three more regional sites at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Baptist Health Paducah and Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital, also in Paducah will come online next week, and Gov. Andy Beshear said additional regional, high-volume vaccine sites will be announced in coming weeks.

The Purchase District Health Department is providing a pre-registration vaccination form online for those who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in the region.
Pre-registration is only available to those in the department’s service region of Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton, Hickman and McCracken counties within the subcategories of the state’s Phase 1 vaccine distribution plan. Health care workers, school employees, people 70 years old or older, and high-risk individuals 16 years old and up are Phase 1A.
Those who are high risk include those with chronic kidney disease, cancer, COPD, Down syndrome, heart conditions, a weakened immune system from an organ transplant, obesity, pregnancy, sickle cell disease, type 2 diabetes, and smokers. Essential workers in Phase 1C include mail delivery, public transit, finance, cleaning services, security, and manufacturers.

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - Texas 4000 donated $10,000 to Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospitalâs cold cap therapy program.
Cold cap therapy is a scalp-cooling technique that lessens hair loss during chemotherapy. It uses a helmet-like cap, which circulates cold liquid to cool the scalp. Itâs worn before, during and after each chemotherapy session.
Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital was first in the Paducah region to offer the therapy. Itâs free for oncology patients.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - On Saturday, January 2, 2021 at approximately 4:44pm, Marshall County 911 received calls of a hit and run vehicle in the Draffenville area.
The suspect vehicle stuck another vehicle and then fled the scene.
Multiple other calls began to come in on the vehicle as it drove recklessly in the area and even through yards.
A Kentucky State Trooper located the vehicle quickly as Deputies were in route.
