Adrian family, others dedicate new Habitat for Humanity house The Daily Telegram ADRIAN An Adrian mother of two was on the receiving end of a home dedication and Faith Build ribbon-cutting Sunday. Emily Newell, along with her children Tegan, 12, and Elijah, 8, were officially welcomed home Sunday to their newly constructed East Maple Avenue home, sponsored by Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee County. The ribbon-cutting event, while normally open to the entire community, was scaled back in attendance because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The site of the Faith Build home officially broke ground during an August 2020 ceremony, according to Habitat for Humanity construction manager Doug Straub. The nearly completed residence was celebrated with Sunday’s ribbon-cutting.

The winner will receive a whole pig, a 20-cubic foot freezer, a $200 gift card to Locust Grove Country Shop, a $200 gift card to Rukas Beverage and a $100 gift card to the Vandergrift Fox’s Pizza Den. The winning number will be the 7 p.m. June 20 Pa. Daily Pick 3 number. Tickets are $10 for two numbers. Proceeds will benefit the parish operating budget.

May 13, 2021 NORWAY Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will offer a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23. The menu will include brat on a bun, baked beans, potato salad and dessert. While there is no cost for the dinner, a donation basket will be available. Meals can be delivered in Norway to those previously on the delivery list. Meals will be available for takeout in the church parking lot. Reservations will be required. To order a meal to be picked up, call 906-282-9752 by 4 p.m. Friday. Everyone is welcome to pick up food. The church is at 130 Odill Drive behind the Jake Menghini Museum and is known as Crossroads, a facility shared by Grace United Methodist and Bethany Lutheran churches.
