However, one provider said those disproportionately impacted by the virus haven’t been part of the majority of those receiving the vaccine. Kettering Health Network held their first vaccine clinic at Grace United Methodist Church and will continue the clinic Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners Deputy Director Susan M. Kiley recently learned of an unforeseen need among the county’s expectant and parenting mothers. On a call for Monmouth ACTS’ Early Childhood Success Hub, Kiley was surprised to learn from leaders of various service organizations that mothers across Monmouth County, particularly expectant young mothers struggling financially due to COVID-19, were having trouble finding diapers, wipes and other supplies for newborns and young children, according to a press release.

Jan 27, 2021 Floyd “Hank” Lewis Hartman died Jan. 24, 2021 at the Embassy of Loyalsock where he had been a resident. Born in Williamsport, he was the son of Raymond and Bertha Hartman. Floyd was active in the Boy Scouts in his youth and did odd jobs in his neighborhood. At the age of 19 he left school to serve his country in the Korean War. In the Army, he rose to the rank of sergeant and served in the 3rd Infantry Division 7th Regiment 1st Battalion. Sergeant Hartman was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries suffered in battle as well as the Army Occupation Medal (Japan), Korean Service Medal w/3 BSS, United Nations Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and a Distinguished Unit Citation.
