A Kimbolton man convicted last week of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old boy more than a year ago was sentenced to 11 to 15 years in prison during a hearing in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court.
Timothy M. Birch, 25, was convicted of sexual battery, a second-degree felony, and endangering children, a third-degree felony, after entering guilty pleas to a bill of information filed by the Guernsey County Prosecuting Attorney s Office on Dec. 9.
The sentence imposed against Birch includes an eight-year mandatory imprisonment. He was given 439 days credit for time served in the Guernsey County Jail while the case was pending.
