OLD WASHINGTON A log truck driver was transported to Southeastern Med with multiple injuries suffered during a rollover accident on Interstate 70 Thursday afternoon.
The unidentified 40-year-old driver reported suffering pain in his back, right side and shoulder. He was transported to Southeastern Med by Old Washington emergency medical personnel.
The heavily-damaged truck came to rest in the median on its right side with numerous large logs strewn about. The truck struck the guardrail on the westbound side of I-70 prior to overturning.
Traffic in both directions on I-70 was slowed while emergency responders worked at the scene. A second log truck was dispatched to pick up the load lost when the other truck overturned in the median.

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio A 5-year-old child died Wednesday when his foster mother allegedly ran him over as she was backing her vehicle out of the driveway.
According to the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, the woman called to report she had accidentally hit the boy shortly after 11:30 a.m. Deputies and medics immediately responded to the home on High Hill Road.
MedFlight was also called to assist, but the sheriff’s office said it was diverted when medics decided to instead take the child to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Deputies learned through an initial investigation that the foster mother was backing up her vehicle in the driveway when the child rode his bicycle behind it. The woman allegedly did not know the boy was behind the vehicle, and he was run over in the process.

A 5-year-old boy in Guernsey County, Ohio, has died after he was accidentally run over by his foster mother in the driveway of their home, police said Wednesday.
Deputies, medics and members of the Cassell Station and New Concord fire departments responded to a report of a child being struck by a vehicle at Hill High Road, Cambridge, at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Guernsey County Sheriff s Office said in a statement.
