Some of those reasons include: that COVID has been found to spread between people who have been in adjacent hotel rooms, such as hotel quarantine; that between a third and possibly as high as 59% of coronavirus is transmitted by asymptomatic people that the transmission of the virus is much higher indoors than outdoors. The Lancet article also states that COVID has been found in air filters and building ducts in hospitals with COVID-19 patients.

The State’s total number now stands at 967. WA Health is monitoring 17 active cases of COVID-19 and 941 people have recovered from the virus in WA. To date, the WA Department of Health has administered 75,837 COVID-19 vaccinations. Yesterday, 1792 people were vaccinated. Yesterday, 393 people were assessed for testing at WA Health COVID clinics, with 393 swabbed. There have been 982,480 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 136,381 were from regional WA.

Australian woman who suffered a blood clot after getting the AstraZeneca jab leaves intensive care

A Western Australian woman who suffered a rare blood clot after receiving the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine remains in a stable condition following a short stint in intensive care. The woman in her 40s presented at the emergency department of a regional hospital about a fortnight after receiving the jab in mid-March.  She was flown to Royal Darwin Hospital where she was admitted to intensive care. She is now in a stable condition. Her family has authorised us to say that her progress has been very positive and that she is recovering well, WA health minister Roger Cook told reporters on Tuesday.
