RPSO make arrest in rape case and last updated 2021-04-23 15:18:05-04 ALEXANDRIA, La. — The Rapides Parish Sheriff s Office says that an Alexandria man has been arrested on 3rd Degree Rape in connection with a report of criminal sexual conduct that occurred in the Alexandria area. RPSO says that deputies took the initial report and detectives responded to conduct the follow up investigation, and identified Allen Hayes, 59, of Alexandria, as the suspect. RPSO says that detectives learned Hayes was arrested in August of 2020 for 2nd Degree Rape by the Alexandria Police Department and was currently out on bond on that charge.

Detectives identified Christian Henry McLendon, 29 and Mattie Kay Robbins, 69, both of Boyce, as suspects. After conducting a thorough investigation, which included interviews of the victims with the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center and with the assistance of the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services, Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original, as well as additional allegations. Detectives obtained warrants for McLendon’s arrest in reference to two counts 1st Degree Rape and one count Oral Sexual Battery and Robbins’ arrest in reference to Failure to Report the Commission of Sexual Abuse of a Child and Obstruction of Justice.

Louisiana Woman Accused of Selling Fake Auto Policies on Facebook Marketplace March 11, 2021 State police have arrested a Louisiana woman accused of selling fraudulent auto insurance policies. The majority of the victims saw the woman’s advertisement for automobile coverage on Facebook Market Place, according to the Louisiana State Police (LSP). The LSP’s Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft (IFAT) Field Office said a complaint received from a local insurance agency in June 2020 claimed that 25-year-old Brianna Phillips of Pineville was selling fake policies labeled as being from Safeway Insurance Company of Louisiana. An LSP investigation discovered Philips sold fraudulent automobile insurance policies to several victims. She then would provide the victims with a fraudulent declaration page and a fraudulent insurance card.
