Man and Woman from Boyce, LA Were Arrested Following a Criminal Sexual Conduct Investigation

Detectives identified Christian Henry McLendon, 29 and Mattie Kay Robbins, 69, both of Boyce, as suspects. After conducting a thorough investigation, which included interviews of the victims with the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center and with the assistance of the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services, Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original, as well as additional allegations. Detectives obtained warrants for McLendon’s arrest in reference to two counts 1st Degree Rape and one count Oral Sexual Battery and Robbins’ arrest in reference to Failure to Report the Commission of Sexual Abuse of a Child and Obstruction of Justice.

Two Boyce residents have been arrested after a complaint about the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff s Office. The complaint was taken on March 6, and detectives began an investigation that soon focused on Christian Henry McLendon, 29, and Mattie Kay Robbins, 69, both of the 500 block of St. Clair Road, reads a release. Detectives worked with the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services and the Children s Advocacy Network during the investigation into the original allegation, as well as additional ones that were uncovered. Both were arrested on March 12 and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center #1 in downtown Alexandria.

Louisiana State Police say that on June 24, 2020, the LSP Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft (IFAT) Field Office received a complaint from a local Insurance Agency. The complaint stated fraudulent auto insurance policies were being sold by 25-year-old Brianna Phillips of Pineville. These fraudulent policies were being sold as Safeway Insurance Company of Louisiana. Following an investigation, Troopers say they discovered Philips allegedly sold fraudulent automobile insurance policies to several victims. She then would provide the victims with a fraudulent declaration page and a fraudulent insurance card. The majority of the victims saw Phillips advertisement on Facebook Market Place.
