RPSO Deputies responded to what was initially reported as a shooting in the Liberty Arsenal off Highway 28 this morning.
They have confirmed that one victim is deceased and the other victim has been transported to a local hospital for gun shot wounds. Currently, there is no suspect information.
Detectives are interested in a black SUV, unknown model, that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.

Deputies have responded to a shooting in the 6800 block of LA 28 East. Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene responded as well as Acadian Ambulance.
One victim is dead and the other victim has been transported to a local hospital for gun shot wounds.
Currently, there is no suspect information. However, Detectives are interested in a black SUV, unknown model, that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Deputies took the initial report and Sheriffâs Detectives responded to conduct the follow up investigation.
Detectives quickly identified Koby Lex Saucier, 19, of Boyce as a suspect. After conducting a lengthy investigation, which included interviews of the victim at the Rapides Childrenâs Advocacy Center, Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original, as well as additional allegations.
Warrants were granted for Saucierâs arrest in reference to one count Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile, one count Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and one count Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor. Saucier was take into custody on March 8 without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center in reference to the active warrants. Saucier is currently being detained at the Parish Detention Center as no bond has been set in reference to the charges. When bond is set, as a condition of bond, Saucier will be served with an Ord
