Date Time Charges: Unlawful Wounding at Beerwah Police have charged a man following their investigations into an unlawful wounding incident in Beerwah on Wednesday June 30. Police will allege that a 38-year-old man sustained non-life threatening wounds to his neck, arms and hands following a disturbance just after 6:30pm at a residence on Karumba Place. He was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment. Premium Content Subscriber only A Landsborough woman has had her suspended sentences for drink driving offences revoked after going on a 24-hour bender. Ebony Lee Daniel, 32, appeared before the Caloundra Magistrates Court on Wednesday for sentencing after pleading guilty to a High Range drink driving offence, driving disqualified and without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle and stealing. Police prosecutor Stephen Potter said officers had found Daniel leaving a car parked outside a Landsborough home after being tipped off she d been drinking for 24-hours straight on January 4, 2021. Daniel s partner had called the police to report she had been drink driving and had damaged her car before getting it towed back to the house.

Premium Content Subscriber only A Battery Hill man who figured out how to grow marijuana in his bedroom with the use of a how-to manual has pleaded guilty to a series of drug charges. Daniel Bathgate s home was raided by police on April 20. They discovered more than 80 marijuana plants, seedlings and a hydroponic set-up in the wardrobe of his bedroom. Officers also found utensils, fertiliser and other items used for growing marijuana throughout the house. Some of the plants were almost 1m tall, according to police.
