The news posted last week for the coronavirus 2019-nCoV (aka SARS-CoV-2), which produces COVID-19 disease, has been surveyed and some important articles are summarized here. NAPA, Calif. (KGO) The Napa Fire Department is sending medical staff to Southern California to help with the surge of COVID patients.
California s Office of Emergency Services put in a request for volunteers during the first week of January.
The medics will be pulling 12-hour shifts at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena for the next two weeks, said Fire Capt. Erik Mortimore.
The Napa team being dispatched includes four EMTs and paramedics who will work at a Pasadena hospital.
All four workers had already received their first shots of a COVID-19 vaccine before the Office of Emergency Services put in the request for medical volunteers,

FREMONT, CA Fremont firefighters are frequently sent to other parts of the state to battle wildfires as part of California s mutual aid network.
Now the coronavirus pandemic has triggered another type of mutual aid the city is sending four fire paramedics to Bakersfield to help staff hospitals there. The firefighters are part of a California Office of Emergency Services effort to staff medical centers and hospitals during a statewide COVID-19 surge, according to a social media post by the Fremont Fire Department.
