Key recall leader Randy Economy leaves campaign
OAKLAND Talk radio host Randy Economy has left the campaign to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom after having been a key spokesperson and senior adviser, as well as the drive s self-proclaimed superhero pirate.
Orrin Heatlie, founder of the Recall Gavin 2020 movement, said Thursday that Economy is no longer associated with the effort. He insisted it was a friendly departure. We re still on talking terms for sure . it wasn t a hostile separation by any means, he said. He was only contracted through the signature-gathering phase.
