The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation has imposed fresh restriction in the twin city due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
THANE: In the wake of rising cases of Covid-19 infection the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) on Wednesday announced stricter restriction in the twin city.
As per the orders issued by municipal commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi shops will be allowed to open for five days till 7pm from Thursday onwards. For Saturday and Sunday, shops will be allowed to do business on alternate day basis.
Kalyan-Dombivli, which is the second-worst hit city in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region after Mumbai, reported 392 new Covid-19 patients, taking its tally of patients 65,462, including 1208 deaths. The twin city now has 2,360 active patients.

Thane: The twin cities of
Kalyan and
Dombivli witnessed the highest single-day jump in daily
coronavirus cases in more than four months as over 200 people tested positive for the virus in the civic body limits.
According to the latest data provided by Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (
KDMC), the areas recorded 227 new cases of
COVID-19 on Thursday, the highest in 126 days. Previously, 293 cases were reported in a single day on October 18, 2020.
