ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – In a push to try and get more younger students vaccinated, officials with Orange County Public Schools are now shifting to holding vaccine events at more middle schools this summer, in addition to some high schools.
More students are expected to head back to in-person learning this fall.
Paula Destito said she wanted to make sure her 16-year-old son got the COVID-19 vaccine. She was like many parents at College Park Middle School where a vaccine event was held inside the gym.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - A Lowcountry mother is suing the Berkeley County School District saying district officials are breaking the law by not allowing her two children to be enrolled for in-person classes.
The lawsuit, which also names BCSD Superintendent Eddie Ingram, is suing for violation of the governor’s orders and constitutional right to education. The suit is seeking damages for lost wages, childcare expenses, and for lost educational opportunities.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Lawyers for a Lowcountry mother say the Berkeley County School District is now allowing their clientâs kids to attend in-person classes after she had filed a lawsuit against the district who originally were not giving her kids that option.
Lawyers for Brigette Herbst said hours after they had filed the lawsuit the district contacted Herbst and said her children would be allowed to attend school in-person starting immediately at College Park Middle School.
