The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) will meet on January 4 to review the pandemic situation in the country and make a decision about the reopening of educational institutions.
According to the federal education ministry, the meeting will be chaired by Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood. It will be attended by other minister via video link.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government is still undecided on the reopening of private educational institutions from January 11 as Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood told to make the final decision on January 4.
A meeting was held between Shafqat Mahmood and representatives of the private educational institutions. The minister said that the decision will be made on January 4 after the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) and the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) meeting.
Shafqat Mahmood stressed that the educational institutions cannot be opened without taking briefing from the health ministry.

ISLAMABAD: Education ministers from all provinces of the country will meet on January 4 to review the coronavirus pandemic situation and decide on when schools and other educational institutes should be reopened.
This was said by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood on Thursday as he was responding to media queries about the government s future course of action regarding educational institutes.
His comments came after Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that it is unlikely that schools would be allowed to reopen under the prevailing circumstances.

I don t think schools across the country will reopen from January, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said.
The minister highlighted that under given circumstances, where the second wave of the novel coronavirus has gripped the country, it is highly unlikely that educational institutions will reopen.
In the 24 hours, 84 more people succumbed to the virus while over 2,000 new cases were reported country-wide. The highest number of cases were reported in Sindh, followed by Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
