A Laurel County man has died after a single motorcycle crash in Clay County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Clay County Coroner’s office, 64-year-old William McDaniel was riding his motorcycle northbound on US-421 near Elk Mountain when he lost control. McDaniel was taken to AdventHealth in Manchester, where he later died. The crash remains under investigation.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. A Clayton County woman was arrested this week, the sheriff s office said, after shooting and killing a man and sending his mother text messages threatening to kill her son.
The Clayton County Sheriff s Office said police first responded on Tuesday to a female caller in Forest Park who refused to give out information, and who was gone by the time they got there.
Later, they were called to Atlanta Medical Center, where a man had been dropped off with a gunshot wound by a woman who told staff she d shot him.

Clay County, IA (KICD) A Linn Grove man escaped injury following a single-vehicle rollover accident in Clay County Tuesday afternoon.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a rollover in the 3700 mile of 170th Avenue. Upon investigation at the scene, it was determined 26-year-old Martin Trierweiler failed to maintain control while driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota northbound in the 3700 mile of 170th Avenue and entered the east ditch. The vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Dakota, proceeded to roll over and come to a stop on the roof.
