(WTVA) - Clay County deputies arrested two suspects connected to burglaries that happened on Feb. 20 close to the Point Harbor area. Investigators charged Edward Malone, 36, with burglary. Meanwhile, they charged Melissa Ford, 32, with accessory before the fact. According to deputies, some items are still missing, including two guns and several chainsaws. Malone and Ford are currently at the Clay County Detention Center with preliminary hearings set for Feb. 25 at the Clay County Justice Court.

Clay County man charged with murder

WEST POINT • A Clay County man has been charged with murder and is being held on a $1-million bond in connection with the Monday evening death of his niece. Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott said deputies responded Jan. 25 to 129 White Station Road just north of West Point after 5 p.m and found Summer Larry, 27, inside the house. She was pronounced dead by Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter Jr. before 6 p.m. The sheriff said the preliminary findings indicate the cause of death was blunt force trauma. Larry s body has been transported to the state crime lab in Pearl for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and recover any forensic evidence.

Posted: Jan 8, 2021 5:26 PM Posted By: Kaitlyn Hall CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Law enforcement charged a man from West Point with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon. According to investigators, Jamarcus Nance, 34, had four pounds of marijuana. Nance is currently in the Clay County Detention Center. His preliminary hearing at the Clay County Justice Court is on Feb. 11. Sheriff Eddie Scott said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call the Clay County Sheriff’s Office or the Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers.
