The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) has welcome, Mr. Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Forum says it joins all leaders and members of the APC to welcome this illustrious Nigerian into its fold.

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party have taken a swipe at the leadership of the All Progressives Congress for faulting communique issued after the PDP Governors Forum meeting in Ibadan.
PDP governors described statements credited to the Secretary of the APC Caretaker/ Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, as insensitive.
The position of the PDP governors was contained in a statement titled, “The PDP Governors Forum Ibadan Declaration Is Patriotic and in the National Interest…APC response is insensitive to suffering Nigerians,” signed by the Director-General of the PDPGF, C.I.D Maduabum, in Abuja, on Wednesday.

John Akpan Udoedehe, National Secretary Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee said his decision to leave “a dead party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a living APC was “wise and timely.”
The scribe, in a statement, commended “the patriotic judgement” that shaped Governor Ayade’s decision to join forces with President Muhammadu Buhari to build a better Nigeria as a member of the APC.
The APC advised the other governors “who are stranded in the sinking wreckage of the PDP to exercise the best option of abandoning that vessel”.
