Silas Theodore Cook was born at around 7 p.m. in his family’s Port Hope home, weighing 5 pounds and 4.6 ounces. Silas was born shortly after 7 p.m. and after midwives had concerns about a potential complication, Northumberland Paramedics transported the new family to Northumberland Hills Hospital to receive care from the emergency team and the maternal child care departments. As is tradition at NHH, Seana and Jeff will go home with a gift basket prepared from the family of the first born baby last year.
