Riverside County anticipates to vaccinate 12-to-15-year-olds as early as Friday
During Tuesday s Board of Supervisors Meeting, Dr. Geoffry Leung, Public Health Officer for Riverside County, said that county anticipates to vaccinate 12 to 15 year olds as soon as Friday or early next week. Dr. Leung explained that they are waiting for national approval and the state s approval to move forward.

Requests for first-dose COVID-19 vaccine appointments have decreased from 4,000 per day to 400 per day at the Oakland Coliseum mass vaccination site. Beginning May 10, the site will only administer second-dose appointments until its closure May 23.

As the state of California surpasses 30 million residents vaccinated, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a shift away from mass vaccination sites.
Due to the new focus on a “community-based” approach, the Oakland Coliseum mass vaccination site will close May 23, according to a joint press release from the state’s Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency. Requests for first-dose appointments at the site have decreased to 400 per day, as compared to 4,000 per day previously, the release added.
Imposing the proposed probation terms would give PG&E a “get-out-of-jail-free” card to use in civil lawsuits and criminal prosecutions, a federal judge said.

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) A federal judge will not make Pacific Gas and Electric alter its fire-prevention power-shutoff program in a way that would expand blackouts, citing opposition from California regulators, but he strongly recommended PG&E adopt those changes anyway.
