SD&G – The United Counties of SD&G will develop a policy to deal with roads that are deteriorating outside of the upper-tier municipality’s four year plan.
Coun. Steven Byvelds (South Dundas) proposed the policy during the county’s budget meeting Wednesday morning that would scrape off the difference between the budgeted amount for road projects and the actual price of work, when a project comes in under budget.
Using examples of “now roads,” Byvelds says “we’re talking about the (County Road) 31s, the 5s, the 8s and the 22s.”
