Holland-area voters turn out for schools, MAX millage

Sentinel Staff HOLLAND  There were only a handful of measures on the local ballots for the Tuesday, May 4, election, but they were significant nonetheless.  Voters in the area had five tax proposals to voice their opinion on, including four for local schools, and all five passed based on unofficial results posted by Ottawa County Tuesday night.  All precincts in the county were fully reported by 9:24 p.m.  Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck said it was a quiet day in terms of in-person voting, but there were a number of absentee ballots sent in ahead of election day.
