NEWARK - Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest from a Newark construction site.
According to Newark police, between March 26 and 28, one or more suspects stole a plate compactor from a Claggett and Sons General Contractors construction site in the 300 block of Wilson Street.
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time. Woman wanted for killing emotional support animal article
NEW YORK - Police on Long Island are looking for a woman accused of killing an emotional support dog in a hit-and-run incident.
Suffolk County Police say it happened on April 23, 2021, in Selden.
A woman was walking with her dog, Romeo, on Pine Street. when a dark-colored SUV hit the toy poodle, killing it.
The owner reached into the driver s vehicle and attempted to stop her but the driver took off.
Police released a sketch of the woman. She is described as white with blond shoulder-length hair and in her 30s.

Huntington Beach police on Tuesday asked for the public’s help tracking down a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run collision in January.
The police released details about the vehicle involved in the collision that killed 29-year-old pedestrian Jacob Andrew Conroy of Midway City on Jan. 24. Police are looking for a full-sized SUV with dark tinted windows similar to a newer-model Chevrolet Tahoe or Cadillac Escalade, according to Lt. Brian Smith of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
The SUV was going southbound on Goldenwest Street north of Oxford Drive when it struck Conroy, who was crossing outside of a crosswalk, Smith said.

NEWARK - Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a car theft in Newark.
According to Newark police, during the overnight hours of April 6, one or more suspects stole a 2016 silver, four-door Ford Fusion parked in the 100 block of Linden Avenue. The agency noted the vehicle had a Star Wars sticker on the rear window.

MINEOLA, N.Y. - Nassau County police detectives are investigating what appears to be an acid attack on a young woman on March 17.
Nafiah Ikram, 21, had just parked a car outside her family s home on Arlington Avenue in Elmont at about 8:30 p.m. that evening and was walking up the driveway when someone threw a corrosive liquid at her.
