Over the next few months,
Carroll County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) will be working with area providers to update the 2018 Carroll County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Therefore, they are seeking input from the community regarding healthcare needs in order to complete the 2021 CHNA update.
VVV Consultants LLC, an independent research firm, has been retained to conduct this countywide research. The goal of this assessment update is to understand progress in addressing community health needs cited in the both the 2015 and 2018 assessment reports while collecting up-to-date community health perceptions and ideas.
A brief community survey has been developed in order to gather feedback and accomplish this work. MELBOURNE - The Florida Tech School of Psychology and the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation have partnered to provide psychology doctoral students with valuable real-world experience.
Joel Thomas, Florida Tech alumnus and president of the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation, together with FIT assistant clinical psychology professor Patrick Aragon worked together to launch the program which actually got started last September with clinical psychology doctoral students Tenasia Wynn and Shelby Gregson.
Two days each week, Wynn and Gregson have been seeing patients and providing care at several Polk County facilities in the BayCare Health System . They have also been working alongside medical residents from the Florida State University College of Medicineâs family medicine residency program in Winter Haven.
