Search warrant: Buffalo health clinic shooting suspect cut off from opioid medication early

The Feb. 9 attack killed 37-year-old medical assistant Lindsay Overbay and seriously injured four others. In a video he recorded shortly before he opened fire and set off homemade explosives at the clinic, he mentions consuming more than 30 pills at a time, according to one of more than a dozen search warrants unsealed Friday. Following the shooting, authorities also found six oxycodone pills in his room at a Super 8 motel where he had been staying since Jan. 31.

Gregory Paul Ulrich, 67, is alleged to have suffered from an addiction to opioids  Ulrich was charged last week with second-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, setting off explosives and carrying a pistol without a permit  Ulrich allegedly shot five people including one victim six times and detonated three homemade bombs at the Allina Health Clinic in Buffalo a week last Tuesday Ulrich also left a rambling message on his cell phone recorded shortly before the attack where he spoke about his injuries and his intentions toward the clinic  Authorities found a plastic bag containing six oxycodone pills when they searched Ulrich a hotel room - he is said to have taken 30 at a time
