Anne Arundel County may loosen restrictions

Credit: WBAL-TV 11 Anne Arundel County will begin lifting some of its COVID-19 restrictions later this week. Citing a drop in case rates and hospitalizations, County Executive Steuart Pittman said he ll begin allowing more businesses to open up. It will include moving most of the businesses that are at 25% capacity restriction to 50%, Pittman said Tuesday. So that would include restaurants and establishments that are closed right now getting to 25%. Under a compromise between the county and restaurateurs, restaurants can seat diners at no more than 25% of capacity indoors. Pittman said officials are also looking into easing restrictions on sports. He said he plans to sign an executive order Wednesday, with the new rules going to effect 5 p.m. Friday.
