La Palmera to host standing COVID-19 vaccine clinic A standing COVID-19 vaccine clinic at La Palmera and a program to vaccinate homeless people are in the works, Corpus Christi and Nueces County officials said Thursday. The La Palmera clinic will launch Tuesday and will be open Monday through Sunday during regular mall hours, public health director Annette Rodriguez said during the city and county’s weekly COVID-19 briefing. People can pre-register or register on site, Rodriguez said. Officials hope to have at least 100 doses available every day. NUECES COUNTY, Texas The Nueces County Commissioners Court will soon be receiving the bids for the debris removal and demolition of Bob Hall Pier. The County had an engineering firm look at the structure of the pier after Hurricane Hanna hit in 2020. After that engineering report, the County decided to go ahead and completely rebuild the pier. Now, it looks like the tear down of the structure will begin soon. The court has prioritized $18 million for Bob Hall Pier s renovation and reconstruction so very, very exciting, Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales said. We still have lots of work to do from an engineering and design point of view and that work on the parking lot will also begin very soon on design.

It also would ban election officials from sending out vote by mail applications unless a voter asks for one. It also bans 24 hour voting locations as well as drive thru voting locations.
