Wayne County prosecutor will not charge Detroit officers in fatal shooting last summer of Black man

Members of the Detroit Police Department encountered Littleton during a search for a person of interest related to a prior violent crime. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says Littleton shot at police before he was killed. “The officers in this case acted with lawful self-defense, in self of others, and thus there will be no charges in this particular case,” Worthy said. But those close with the 20-year-old Littleton dispute the prosecutor’s conclusions. Noloyiso Maat Bey is his aunt. She said law enforcement demonized her nephew from the start.
