Prosecutors to Pursue Death Penalty for Ohio Woman Charged in 4-Year-Old Daughter’s Death An Ohio mother who was charged with murder in the death of her young daughter will be eligible for the death penalty after she had her charges upgraded to capital murder, according to court documents. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the death penalty-eligible indictment against 25-year-old Tianna Robinson in a statement on Monday. Robinson has been accused of severely abusing her 4-year-old daughter, Nahla Miller. She allegedly beat and strangled the baby girl until her heart stopped. The woman from Springfield Township was previously charged with attempted murder, two counts of felony assault, and child endangerment before her charges were upgraded to “aggravated murder with death penalty specification,” prosecutors announced.

Former Ohio police officer convicted of sexual assault was HIV positive, prosecutors say Updated 2:28 AM; LOVELAND, Ohio A former Loveland police officer who was convicted of sexually assaulting a man is now facing an additional charge because prosecutors say he knew he was HIV positive when he committed his crimes. WLWT Channel 5 reports Anthony Pecord, 48, was charged Wednesday with one count of felonious assault. Pecord was sentenced in March to four years in prison after he was convicted on three counts of gross sexual imposition. According to Fox 19, prosecutors say that on Jan. 24, Pecord used an “intoxicant” to impair his victim, a 26-year-old man, then sexually assaulted him multiple times. The victim was not aware that Pecord was HIV positive, prosecutors say.

Columbus man charged in New Lex shooting

NEW LEXINGTON - Charges have been filed on a 34-year-old Columbus man arrested in the shooting of a teenager in New Lexington last week.  Perry County Prosecutor Joseph Flautt said Mustafa Abdos-Saboor Id-deen has been charged in municipal court on one second-degree felony count of felonious assault. According to Police Chief Scott Ervin, Thursday evening officers were called to the 200 block of Lincoln Street around 8 p.m. for an altercation involving a firearm.  When they arrived, they found the child had been shot. The teen was taken to a hospital in the Columbus area to be treated. Witnesses helped police identify the suspect, who was arrested and taken to jail.
