In an effort to increase ease-of-access support for Napa Countyâs LGBTQ people, the Victim Witness Services Division of the Napa County District Attorneyâs Office will be holding office hours at LGBTQ Connectionâs Napa community center.
âHistorically DAâs offices silently went about our business and served those victims who came to us and asked for help,â Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley said in a news release.
âItâs clear this method has inhibited access to our most vulnerable communities. This is the first of our efforts to bring services out into the community and to meet those in need in spaces that are comfortable and safe to them. This is particularly important in providing compassionate and sensitive service to our LGBTQ community,â Haley said.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. A suspected far-right extremist and radicalized supporter of former President Donald Trump facing federal explosives charges may have been targeting California Gov. Gavin Newsom and the San Francisco Bay Area headquarters of social media giants Twitter and Facebook, according to the FBI.
Federal prosecutors charged Ian Benjamin Rogers, 43, of Napa County, after investigators found five homemade pipe bombs in a search of his home and auto repair business on Jan. 15. They also confiscated additional bomb-making material along with 49 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Medical experts testified that Kayleigh 41 inches tall and 34 pounds at the time of her death had 41 external injuries on her body including blunt force injuries to the front and back of her torso.
The experts testified that the beating had caused Kayleigh s intestines to burst and over a period between 12 hours and three days, the injury caused infection that lead to shock and death.
In the period between the injury and her death, the experts testified Kayleigh would have cried and would have suffered discomfort, pain, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. The symptoms would have progressed over time to unconsciousness and death.
