Inmate sentenced for involvement in Bucks County Prison drug ring A Philadelphia man who helped coordinate an alleged drug ring in Bucks County Prison will spend up to nearly six additional years in prison. On Thursday, Vincent McCandless Sr., 35, pleaded guilty to possessing contraband and conspiracy to commit that offense. Both are felonies. He will spend 35 to 70 months in state prison. That will run consecutively to his current prison sentence of 4½ to 10 years.  Court records show he pleaded guilty to illegally carrying a firearm, out of Bensalem, in May 2019. He is currently serving his prison sentence at a state prison in Huntington County.

STRANGULATION — Chester Chatereski, 42, of Perkasie, was charged with strangulation, simple assault, false imprisonment and harassment following a domestic incident April 6 on S. 6th Street, Perkasie Borough Police Department said. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, New Britain, and taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at 10 percent of $50,000, court information shows. SIMPLE ASSAULT, HARASSMENT — Ryan Wahalla, 33, was charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic incident April 1 in Sellersville, Perkasie Borough Police Department said. Following a preliminary arraignment, he was taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at 10 percent of $20,000, police said.

The departure of Assistant District Attorney Gregg Shore will become effective Wednesday, a DA s spokesperson confirmed. Once the second-in-command in the district attorney s office, the longtime prosecutor s resignation comes less than a month after news of his side job as a DoorDash delivery driver at times during normal work hours became public. Subscribe Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub had said that Shore had exercised poor judgment but decided not to fire him in part due to past performance, perhaps most notably as the lead prosecutor in the Cosmo DiNardo and Sean Kratz 2017 murder trial.
