A Wisconsin prosecutor announced that no charges will be brought against the white Kenosha police officer who shot Jacob Blake, a Black man, several times at close range in August. It is my decision now, that I announce today before you that no Kenosha law enforcement officer in this case will be charged with any criminal offense, Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley said during a Tuesday afternoon press conference.

Progressive and Democratic lawmakers are slamming the Kenosha County district attorney's decision on Tuesday to not file criminal charges against Rusten Sheskey, a white police officer who shot 29-year-old Black man Jacob Blake in the back seven times while responding to a domestic disturbance call in August.

The team wrote in a tweet, We are extremely disappointed in the decision involving Jacob s shooting and we will continue to use our platform to advocate and fight for racial justice. This is another reminder that just because racial and social injustice hasn t received as much attention recently, doesn t mean the need to fight against it has gone away.
The Milwaukee Bucks also released a statement, saying they plan to continue pushing for policy changes in law enforcement.
