The St James Municipal Corporation (SJMC) on Friday served a stop order notice on a developer in the Greenwood community of the parish to halt construction of an apartment complex there.
On Wednesday, residents of Greenwood staged a demonstration in front of the SJMC offices in Montego Bay after a similar protest in front of the development, over their concerns about the recent flooding in their community, which is believed to have been caused by the blocking of a drain as part of the development.
