FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – College baseball’s unanimous No. 1 team is taking the show on the road.
Top-ranked Arkansas heads to Ruston, La., to square off against Louisiana Tech (8-3) in a three-game set this weekend at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The Hogs are undefeated to start the 2021 campaign, owning a perfect 10-0 record for the second time in the Dave Van Horn era (2003) and for only the third time in program history (1996).
First pitch in the series opener between the Razorbacks and Bulldogs is set for 6 p.m. Friday, March 12. The second game of the series begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, while the finale is slated to start at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The top-ranked Razorbacks are coming to Cox Sports Television.
No. 1 Arkansas’ road series at Louisiana Tech will air on CST, the schools announced today in a joint release. The three-game set will also stream on ESPN+.
First pitch in the opener between the Razorbacks and Bulldogs is set for 6 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the remodeled J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The final two games of the series are slated to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 14.
Arkansas and LA Tech have clashed 31 times before, with the Hogs holding an all-time series advantage of 25-6. The two programs most recently meet at Baum-Walker Stadium during the 2019 campaign when the Razorbacks picked up an 11-0 shutout win. It will be the Hogs’ first trip to Ruston, La., since the 2017 season.
Grand Lake High Beats Two Hurricanes on Way to State Title Game
Yesterday in Natchitoches Louisiana the LHSAA Prep Football Classic got underway. No, the games weren t originally scheduled to be played on a Sunday and no they weren t originally scheduled to be played in Natchitoches. But when you consider all that the high school administrators, coaches, and players had to go through just to get to a championship game then you realize that just getting the chance to play is the important part of this story.
However, one school had to go through a little bit more, no wait, a lot more than the other 17 schools that will compete for a state high school football title over the next few days. That school is Grand Lake High School. Today at 11 am the Hornets of Grand Lake will take on top-seeded and defending Class A champions Oak Grove.

Payton said Friday that the plan is for Brees to start Sunday. He s looked good. He feels good, Payton said. We were encouraged at the start of the week. We wanted to see how it felt as he went through a full practice week, and he s done a good job.
The news wasn t so good for star receiver Michael Thomas.
Thomas was ruled out Friday after not practicing all week due to a lingering ankle injury. Thomas had played through the injury since returning to the lineup in Week 9.
