New Delhi [India], December 21 (ANI): Former Union Minister and BJP MP KJ Alphons on Monday slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly lending support to extremists and radicals in the state.
He, however, agreed with Vijayan on Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) being overtaken by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and said Congress is ready to do anything for a few votes.
Alphons alleged that IUML is running the Congress-led coalition and blamed Vijayan as well for siding with extremist radicals .

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], December 21 (ANI): A special cabinet meeting held here on Monday has taken a decision to convene a special assembly session on Wednesday to discuss farm laws passed by the Centre.
The special assembly session will be convened to pass a resolution against farm laws which both CPI(M) led Left Democratic Front ( LDF) and Congress-led United Democratic Front are opposing.
Confirming the cabinet decision, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac said, Kerala cabinet decided to convene a special session of the legislative assembly on 23rd December before the scheduled budget session to discuss and reject the controversial farm laws. Kerala is in solidarity with the farmers struggle.

Subcommittee to frame legislation to counter Central laws
The Legislative Assembly will convene for a special session here on Wednesday to discuss the contentious farm laws passed by the Centre and pass a resolution against them.
The State Agriculture Department has also formed a subcommittee to study the possibility of framing a legislation to counter the Central laws.
A meeting of the Cabinet held here on Monday morning decided to recommend Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to convene the special session to discuss the three laws.

Thiruvananthapuram: Amid the ongoing stir against the newly-constituted farm laws, the Kerala government has convened a special session of the state Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, December 23, to discuss the contentious legislations formulated by the Centre.
The decision to call the special Assembly session was taken by the Cabinet of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It may be noted that both the CPI(M)-led ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) have opposed the farm laws.
