KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Hospital has received a RM1.5mil contribution from the Sabah government to help it conduct Covid-19 tests.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor presented the contribution to UMS deputy vice-chancellor (research and innovation) associate professor Dr Ramzah Dambul in a ceremony at the Sabah administrative centre here yesterday.
Also present were State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong and Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Hajah Masnah Matsalleh.
At the same event, state Community Development and People’s Well-being Minister Shahelmey Yahya, who is also Sabah Council of Social Service president, handed over 5,000 pieces of personal protection equipment (PPE) for the state’s frontliners to Hajiji, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s office.

New Delhi [India], December 19 (ANI): Union Minister for Health and Family WelfareHarsh Vardhan on Friday digitally addressed the Platinum Jubilee of the National Conference of Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases (NATCON).
He underlined the importance of multi-stakeholder coordination, prevention and patient-centric quality care in making giant strides towards a TB Free India , an official release said.
He congratulated all members of the Tuberculosis Association of India for eight decades of selfless work since the organization was established in 1939.
