GUWAHATI: The Anti-Corruption Youth-Power, Assam (ACYPA) has questioned as to why the Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) has been extended for another six-month term in Assam at a time when most of the insurgent groups have laid down arms and the State government is claiming that the situation in the State is peaceful.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, ACYPA president Dharmakanta Gogoi said, The State government had been in deep slumber over the last four years.
