PICPA webinars discuss business ethics, fraud proofing

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Doha LLC(G) conducted two consecutive weekly webinars on ‘Business Ethics and Business Fraud Proofing in Interesting Times’, recently.
More than 50 PICPA members, associates and guests participated in the webinars led by the PICPA Doha President Alvin Polido.
Robert P Lepon, chairman of Medical Mission Group Overseas Filipino Expatriates Hospital and Health Services Cooperative and a multi-certified professional with a wide range of experience in audit, controls and assurance services, was the keynote speaker.
He opened the first session by throwing the attendees a curve asking them of the extent of the initiatives in protecting their businesses and companies from fraudulent activities. QC partners Lusail University in humanitarian training, research

Qatar Charity (QC) and Lusail University have signed an agreement to collaborate in education and training, research and studies related to the development and humanitarian work.
The agreement was signed by Faisal Rashid Al Fahida, assistant CEO for the Programmes and Community Development Sector at Qatar Charity, and Sheikha Abdul Raziq Marafie, vice-president for Financial and Administrative Affairs at Lusail University, in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lusail University HE Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri and CEO of Qatar Charity Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.
