FDLE investigating after officer-involved shooting in Gadsden County

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) â The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating after an officer-involved shooting in Gadsden County on Monday morning.
According to GCSO, at approximately 1:30 a.m. the Gadsden County Sheriffâs Office and the Quincy Police Department responded to a call involving an armed suspect holding a female at gunpoint.
GCSO says the suspect refused to comply with verbal commands from law enforcement and pointed his gun at the officers.
A GCSO deputy then fired one shot which resulted in a non-life-threatening injury to the suspect, who then dropped the firearm and released the victim.

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) â Seven people are injured following a shooting early Saturday morning in Quincy.
The shooting happened at Klub Vibez, formerly the Platinum Night Club, on 2114 Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy around 1:45 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff s Office.
Authorities say there was reportedly a physical altercation between patrons inside the club that erupted into gunshots that led outside and injured several people as they scrambled for safety.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people who had been shot assisted first aid and they were later transported to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
An early Sunday morning crash in Gadsden County left one man dead and two others with serious injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a man driving a sedan west on West King Street in Quincy drove off the road and into a fence before continuing on to hit a tree at 4:35 a.m.
The driver died and two passengers, both men, were transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
FHP did not identify those involved or list ages or cities of residence. The department also listed the cause of the crash as unknown.
The Quincy Police Department, Gadsden County Fire Department, Gadsden County EMS and Gadsden County Sheriff s Office assisted FHP at the scene of the crash.
Seven people were shot in a Quincy nightclub after a fight – allegedly between two rival gangs – broke out early Saturday.
Two people are in intensive care and at least one person was shot in the face, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff s Department.
There were no deaths and while a Gadsden County Sheriff s Office spokesperson said the cause of the shooting was still under investigation, a Tallahassee Police Department daily watch summary obtained by the Tallahassee Democrat provides some insight into the investigation and aftermath which involved multiple law enforcement agencies.
It was one of two nightclub shootings this weekend in the Big Bend.

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) â UPDATE: Kaylee Underwood has been found and is safe.
The Gadsden County Sheriff s Office is seeking any information on the location of a missing 16-year-old, Kaylee Underwood.
She was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the area of Quail Ridge in Havana, according to deputies.
Underwood was last seen wearing dark jeans, a maroon shirt, with gray/black Nike shoes.
McCants is about 5 6 tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has long dark red hair with some freckles.
