Brendan Ryce, of Blackwater Close in Spencers Wood, will spend eight weeks in jail after beating a police officer in October last year. The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to the assault at Reading Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 1.
Fahrid Ahad will also spend time behind bars after beating a police officer in Reading on the January 3, 2021. The 33-year-old, of no fixed abode, will be locked up for ten weeks having pleaded guilty to the attack.

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) â The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating after an officer-involved shooting in Gadsden County on Monday morning.
According to GCSO, at approximately 1:30 a.m. the Gadsden County Sheriffâs Office and the Quincy Police Department responded to a call involving an armed suspect holding a female at gunpoint.
GCSO says the suspect refused to comply with verbal commands from law enforcement and pointed his gun at the officers.
A GCSO deputy then fired one shot which resulted in a non-life-threatening injury to the suspect, who then dropped the firearm and released the victim.
A suspect reportedly holding a woman at gunpoint in Quincy was shot by Gadsden County sheriff’s deputies early Monday.
The suspect, Jermaine Walker, who is expected to survive the shooting, will be held in the Gadsden County Jail on charges of felony battery on a law enforcement officer, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Sheriff s spokeswoman Lt. Anglie Holmes said deputies provided backup to Quincy police officers for a call at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Walker reportedly refused to comply with orders and pointed a gun at first responders, according to law enforcement. One of them fired a single round.
Ex-boyfriend charged in shooting deaths of St. Louis woman and her two young daughters
St. Louis, Missouri (St. Louis Post-Dispatch) After killing a woman and her two young daughters in their Dutchtown home, the woman’s former boyfriend bought a bus ticket to flee east, police said in court records Friday.
Ronald S. Marr, 34, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was captured 100 miles from St. Louis, in Effingham, Illinois.
St. Louis police said the three victims 30-year-old Kanisha Hemphill, 8-year-old Journee, and 1-year-old Jakari were each shot multiple times at 4124 South Grand Boulevard. Officers responding to a call for shots fired went into the home about 7 a.m. Thursday and found the three dead.
