120 Organizations Already RSVPed for our Northern California Conference Matt Beuschlein | Apr 14, 2021 Share this: We are looking forward to seeing a few hundred of our best friends in Northern California health care and health policy next week at the 2021 Northern California State of Reform Health Policy Conference! We get about half of our registration in the last week or so. And, since we’re now in that window and since our registration is starting to run up, we wanted to share with you the list of organizations who will be joining our event next week. It’s an impressive list and one that we’re honored to host and convene on April 22nd!

Walk-in vaccine clinic now open at Richmond s Veterans Memorial Hall

Photo courtesy of CCHS A walk-in vaccine clinic opened today at Veterans Memorial Hall in Richmond, according to Contra Costa Health Services. It’s one of several pop-up walk-in clinics opening countywide in the coming weeks, part of a partnership between the County and California Office of Emergency Services. About 500-700 vaccinations a day can be given at each walk-in site, all of which open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Currently, clinics are open at Veterans Memorial Hall, 968 23rd St., and Antioch Community Center, 4703 Lone Tree Way. Those clinics will remain open daily through April 25. From April 26 through May 2, pop-up clinics will open at John Missionary Baptist Church, North Campus, 29 8th St., in Richmond; and also at Albert D. Seeno Jr. Pittsburg Youth Development Center, 1001 Stoneman Ave. in Pittsburg.

Newsom: J&J pause won t undermine California s vaccine goals

OAKLAND California health officials on Tuesday announced they will stop administering the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine a move that comes after federal health agencies earlier in the day recommended an immediate pause after six women developed a rare and severe type of blood clot after receiving the shot. Gov. Gavin Newsom said the pause should not affect California’s goals of opening vaccine eligibility to most people this week and broadly reopening the economy in June. The state will work to allocate Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna shots to the roughly 8,800 people who have signed up for J&J shots, he said.

Free Covid vaccine clinics to open in Richmond this week

Getty images As vaccine eligibility continues to expand, so does the number of vaccine appointments available to the community. Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) will be hosting three, free COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Richmond this week. Appointments are required. On Wednesday, April 7, Easter Hill United Methodist Church at 3911 Cutting Boulevard will be holding vaccination appointments from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Reservations can be made here and must be booked by Tuesday, April 6. On Thursday, April 8, North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church at 1427 Fred Jackson Way will be offering appointments from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Residents can register here and must book their appointment by Wednesday, April 7 at noon.
