Major General Antony Anderson
The police say they are aware of the individual who allegedly shot and killed their colleague, Constable Jermaine Bennett, in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine on Tuesday.
The disclosure was made by Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson, while on a tour of the St Catherine North Police Division on Friday. We are following some specific leads in that (Bennett s killing). We have a fair idea of who did it, Anderson said while shying away from disclosing the identity of the suspect.
However, he expressed confidence that the individual will be apprehended shortly. But this (killing) is one that is not cold and I suspect not long from now we will probably have the person in custody, Anderson assured.
