South Australian Police search for firearm after 49-year-old man shot dead at Virginia © Provided by ABC NEWS Police have cordoned off an area around Brady Street in Viriginia. (ABC News: Mahalia Carter) A 49-year-old man has been shot and killed at Virginia, in Adelaide s northern suburbs. Police responded to calls about shots being fired in the area just before 3am today. Detective Inspector Mark Gallagher said officers found a 49-year-old man dead when they arrived at the Brady Street address. All indications are that he has been shot, he said. We are treating this as a murder investigation. Police are still searching for the firearm used in the shooting and no-one has been arrested.
